We are celebrating our first year at Active Education Company, so we thought now would be a good time to reflect on some of our favourite things from 2020/21.
Professional in the Picture
We have been lucky enough to have interviewed some sports superstars across this year, all of whom have discussed their school experiences, time in the spotlight and future ambitions. From Olympic Gymnast, Beth Tweddle, to Premier League Footballer, James Tarkowski, we have someone for everyone.
Don’t worry if you missed any of them, they are all still available to watch on our website!
Our high quality products are probably our proudest achievement of the year. When starting Active Education Company, we knew we wanted to create versatile products that can be used across all PE and physical activity sessions in schools, and we think we have achieved that!
So far we have Active Cards, Challenge Cards and the Ultimate PE Leader Pack, which have been purchased and now being used right across the country and even internationally. We are excited to have new products products coming in the new year.

The Big Interview
We decided early on in our journey that we wanted to include other people’s voices in our Active Updates, and The Big Interview section is the perfect place for this. We have had contributions from the whole spectrum of PE and sport, including PE Umbrella’s Ryan Ellis, Wallball’s Dan Thackeray and Rugby League World Cup’s Tracy Power.
Missed some of our Big Interviews? Don’t worry, they’re all available to read in our Active Update archive on the website.
Active Education Conference
Despite the various COVID-19 restrictions in place this year, we managed to hold our Active Education Conference virtually in May. We covered a variety of topics, including Wellbeing, Deep Dives and Active Playgrounds, with contributions from experts in the field. With a number of participants, it was a great day, full of discussion, top tips and key information to take away.
Here’s what delegate Dan Young had to say about the conference: “The conference contained relevant and detailed information which has helped to further develop my knowledge and understanding surrounding a number of topics.”
To catch the workshops again, or to view for the first time, they are still available to view on our website.
We believe shared expertise is the best way to ensure the world of PE stays relevant and consistent in all schools. So from the start, we wanted to create outstanding resources that could be accessed for free by our Active Members to use in their own settings. Our most popular resources this year were the Sports Day Pack and the Example PE and Sport Premium Report, but with a heap of other resources available on the website, be sure to check them out here!
We would love to hear what your highlight of our first year has been. Share it with us on Twitter @ActiveEduCo.
Have a great Summer from everyone at The Active Education Co.
